3 Great Tips on How to Improve Memory for the Long Run By Gregory Frost

Gregory Frost

Mind stimulation is one of the best ways that you can improve your memory in the long run, and this is something you need to do on a daily basis. One of the main reasons why people do suffer from long term memory loss is because they allow themselves to be imprisoned by their mundane and sometimes monotonous life. This can sometimes be because of the sort of jobs they are holding, or even because of their very own lifestyle.

The culture that they are exposed to at home and at work is very important because it can lead them to become someone who is prone to memory loss. Once the mind finds no stimulation at all, then there is a problem, and to overcome and improve memory, you need to have some sort of mental stimulation. This can be in the simplest form of a crossword puzzle or even something as unconventional as a video game.

The second tip, and one of the best ways that science has proven to aid in long term memory loss is learning a new language. Learning a new language is not just a mental activity that stimulates the memory, it forces it to be in a state where it has to remember all the time, because you are learning a new language. If your brain has been stuck in a state of mental complacency and forgetfulness for a long time, then learning a new skill like a new language will mould it into a shape and stimulate the correct neurons to be able for it to remember much better.

Once you are in the habit of remembering things to learn and things to remember, this will be applied to everything else in your life. This has been proven in neuropsychological tests all over the world and is becoming part of mental therapy to help people with serious memory loss. It can also be the solution that aids you from getting permanent memory loss, especially in your old age.

Last but not least, one of the best ways for you to do so is to take brain food. One of the neuro-scientific causes that has been proven to contribute to memory loss is the death of brain cells in the brain, more specifically, within the billions of neurons in the cortex. Brain food, supplementation and the correct vitamins will stave this off and you need to start early, because science has proven that the death of the brain cells can start as early as the high 20’s and the early 30’s. Vitamin B and the complex B vitamins have been found particularly good with staving off memory retardation.

So, these are some of the ways on how to improve memory in the long run, and you need to be able to know how to do this. There are some great guide books out there with specific methodologies and advice, within these categories on how you can improve your memory for life. Why lose all the precious memories of your life? Start taking the necessary measures to improve your memory for the long run today.

Memory Exercises - Your Solution For a Photographic Memory By Gregory Frost

Gregory Frost

Having a photographic memory is not something you can actually be born with. Some of us have a photographic memory and some of us do not. This is where the basis of evolution and generation genetic information come into play and the strength of our memories are dependent on these and maybe several other factors. But of course, there is no limit to this fact, as we can gain a photographic memory or something very close to it without too much of a struggle.

Yes, there are many programmes out there that help you to gain a photographic memory, but before you whip out your credit card and purchase a DVD or audio tape, you need to try your hand at some simple memory exercises you can do on your own in the comfort of where ever you are right now to improve your memory and give you an almost perfect one. Before all this, let us look at the causes of memory loss, and there are many things to dissect and bring across to the table. As the memory capacity of one person differs as you go from individual to individual, the different factors that do cause memory loss will have different degrees of effect, but they effect them nonetheless. One of these is hypertension.

Another is excessive alcoholism, which contributes to the brain cell deaths that would already be naturally occurring within the cortex and the neurons of the brain. People with thyroid problems would also be prone to memory loss as those who are prone to depression and emotional problems. One of the biggest and most common contributing factor of memory loss is stress, and all of us, at any one point of our lives, would feel the heavy hand of stress upon our backs and our minds, so we need to be wary.

Now, we can discuss some of the memory exercises you can perform in your free time so that your memory will improve as time goes by. One of them is mental focus, and this can be achieved by breathing exercises that allow you to reduce the heartbeat and focus the mind. Once you are able to achieve this on a daily basis, your memory and thought processes will improve. Yoga is a good way to do this.

The other way is called repetition, in which you repeat some of the things that you are most prone to forget to yourself and you increase this list on a daily basis. Another thing you can do is associations. Making mental associations and imagery to the aspects of your life that you always forget can be some of the mental exercises that will release your memory from the trenches of forgetfulness and give you a much more photographic memory. These are some of the mental exercises you can do which might give you the solution to a photographic memory. Practice them every day and you might find yourself at the top of the memory game in no time at all.

Personal Development Goals Planning Guide By Johnny C

Johnny C

As a human being, you should never stop improving yourself. You have to make sure to be a better person each day in order to reach the seventh heaven and be successful in life. However, being a better person means improving your overall self everyday. This may be a daunting task to do but it is only during the first couple of days. This is due to the fact that there is no such thing as daunting task if you are really into it and if you really want to be a better person. As a matter of fact, the very first thing which you should do is to set your personal development goals.

You have your own goals in doing anything. You wake up early every morning so that you won't be late to school or work. You drink water to quench your thirst. Having and setting your goals is important so that tracking any improvements in your life would be a lot easier on your part. Nevertheless, you have to properly set your goals. This only means that you have to make them as simple and realistic as possible. In doing so, you can achieve some sense of fulfillment every time you accomplish any of your goals.

Once you are done setting your goals, your next concern has something to do with the ways on how you can make your goals come into life and realization. The following are some simple ways, which you can consider as personal development goals guide that you can use to achieve all your goals in life:

* Think positive. Always think that you can make it. You have to think optimistically that you can achieve all your goals in time. This will serve as your driving force to strive harder just to make your goals happen. There is no room for negativities when it comes to achieving your goals in life for those will just be a hindrance in your attempts to move forward.

* Keep your focus. You should not waste your time in nonsense things. You have to always keep your focus on your goals so that you can be certain that you can be successful as well as happy by the end of the day. Besides, it is easier to keep moving forward when your focus is on your goals in life.

* Use all your skills and capabilities. All your goals in life will be insignificant if you are not going to use properly all your skills and capabilities. Hence, you have to make sure that as you keep your focus on your goals, you also have to utilize your magnificent skills, as well as capabilities to accomplish your entire goals in life.

Indeed, the first thing, which you need to do in order to be happy and successful, is to set all your personal development goals and then accomplish them all. Setting your goals is simpler than making all your goals happen. Nonetheless, the ways mentioned above can somehow make it easier for you. Be a happy person, as well as a very successful individual person in the days to come.

Understanding The Universal Law Of Attraction By Vlad Stivenson

Vlad Stivenson

What the Universal Law of Attraction says is that the things that come into our life are a result of our thoughts being focused on them so we can attract good or bad things.

Usually we do not plan to attract things into our life. Our daily thoughts are focused on the issues we are dealing with and we are trying to work through the problems we have. When we focus on our problems and that is where are thoughts are always at we are likely to attract more of the same into our lives.

If you want to discover the power of the Law of Attraction- download Subliminal Flash program. It imprints positive affirmations into your mind, so you become a magnet for good things. After you use Subliminal Flash for 3-5 days you will notice significant positive changes in your life.

It's like your mind is a magnet and you can't help but attract things, good and bad things. Magnets also do not try to draw metals to them, it just happens. We are always attracting things into our lives even if we are totally unaware that it is happening. This is even true when we are sleeping. The things we attract are those that we are focused on. If you focus on the things you do not have than you will have more experiences of NOT having those things. If you focus on the things you love instead than those things will be attracted into your life.

Your mind is a very powerful thing and when you use it to focus on the things you want in your life you have the power to draw these good things into your life.

For example, if you want to change something in your life, if you want to become more attractive, confident or creative, if you want to attract love or wealth into your life- download and use Subliminal Flash software. It imprints positive affirmations in your subconscious mind. Subliminal Flash users become walking magnets, they attract prosperity and success.

Have you heard the old Proverb from the bible that says 'As a man thinks in his heart, so is he'? The unique thing about this proverb is how the refer to thinking with the heart when we are used to thinking with our minds. If you think with your heart you send out signals to the Universe and the Universe will respond to your thoughts and desires.

The heart is where your power really is because that is the part of your body that can communicate with the Universe. The heart is magnetic and draws to it what it wants and focuses on.

It is like we are a radio and we are changing the station frequently. When we leave the radio, or our heart, on a specific station, that is the signals that go out into the Universe.

To get less of the things you do not want in your life, you need to be on the correct frequency so your signals to the Universe are about things you DO want.

The Art of Deliberate Attraction can be broken down into three items:

1. Understanding and really knowing what it is you want in your life.
2. Tuning your heart and mind together so they send out the right signals to the Universe.
3. Being open to receiving the things you ask for.

Many of us miss the chance to use the contrasts in our lives to fine tune our thoughts and desires and focus more on the things we truly desire. You should pay attention the the contrasts in your life and use what you learn to refine your focus. It is not easy because we are used to talking about and thinking about the things we are unhappy with in our life not focusing on the good.

Being open to receiving the things you ask for is sometimes the hardest part of all. We often miss opportunities to get the things we want because we do not believe in ourselves or in the power of the Universe. We hang on to negative thoughts and emotions.

The thing we all need to do is to open our hearts and minds and believe in the power of the Universal Law of Attraction.

5 Simple Ways to Improve Memory Hassle-Free By Gregory Frost

Gregory Frost

One of the ways you can improve your memory is to play a song or a tune in the background when you are trying to remember something difficult. By playing a tune or a song in the background, the auditory stimulation affects all parts of the brain and helps them to work in concert to be able to achieve a higher level of consciousness and thus improve mental functions like memory. The tune must be something you like and you can respond to, and studies have shown that especially with students, it helps them to remember entire volumes of data.

You can also take alot of vitamin B and some brain food which are available as supplementation at your local health care shop. Studies and science has shown that brain food and the appropriate vitamins can help anyone improve their memory because one of the aspects of proper supplementation is that it helps to reduce the deaths of brain cells within the neurons of the brain and thus improve over all memory and communication functions within the brain. You can get them at a store and ask your local pharmacist on some of the things you can take.

You can also join a club that would promote some sort of mental activity for you on a weekly basis. What this means is that you need to keep yourself mentally active, and if possible you need ot join a club where your brain is stimulated much more than your body. Examples of this is the local Sudoku club or even one where topics of interest are discussed. A book club or a literary club is also one of them but importantly, it has to be one that you are interested in. It can even be a car club where you study new and interesting things about that old Morris Mariner.

Exercise and physical activity is also one of the ways that you can improve your memory and this is because of the chemical release and higher levels of adrenalin that occurs when you work out and increase your heart rate. Your brain is stimulated as well on different levels, and it increases the circulation to the brain and the lymphatic areas, which also help to flush out toxins that would otherwise contribute to brain cell death.

Last but not least, you need to get plenty of sleep. One of the ways that people do gain memory loss the quickest and easiest is when they do not get enough sleep. Sleep is when the brain rests and recuperates, and prepares itself for the next day. When you do not get enough sleep, your brain becomes dull and is not as sharp as it would be; which would make things like memory suffer in the long run.

As you can see, these are some of the areas that you can look at to help to overcome your memory loss and make you a better person overall. Follow the abovementioned tips, and you will have a higher chance of retaining your precious lifelong memories in the long run.

Overcoming Procrastination - Everything You Need to Know By Kai Ferra

Kai Ferra

Procrastination has ever since been part of the upscale battle of every individual’s life. With work and life continuously getting tougher and tougher at every age, people find the need to delay some pending deadlines in hopes of getting a few minutes of rest. In truth, it is perfectly fine to get a break and doze off from work. However, not finding the discipline and courage to go back and finish what you need to do is often the challenge, which leads to procrastination. If you are looking for positive ways on overcoming procrastination, we have lined up some of the best tips that can guide you into becoming more efficient with your work schedule and assignments. Overcoming procrastination will help you drive a huge amount of discipline that is highly needed in every aspect of one’s life.

The first thing that you need to learn when overcoming procrastination is the process of self-control. Yes, we all love a few minutes or hours of the day to ourselves, but sometimes it helps to know when is the best time to do certain things. Bear in mind that the more you concentrate on finishing a certain task the more help you will get to bring in more expedient and better results. This will then give you more time for yourself at the end of the day. If you are feeling tired and restless, you may opt to take the time to take control over your mind through the process of hypnosis. Hypnosis, as an effective means of rehabilitating oneself, will help you get in tune with your body and release all the stress and pressure that is flooding inside your nerves. Releasing this tension will help you work more effectively, instead of keeping the huge amount of stress up in your head and allowing anxieties to slow you down. In most aspects, hypnosis helps your mind veer away from the notion of giving up. When the mind decides to give up, this will eventually trigger the body to slow down and to eventually stop working. Instead of doing this, psyche your brain to improve on your pace at work and challenge your body to correspond with what your mind dictates. Being able to achieve work in lesser and quicker timeframes will help you achieve more leisure time.

Keeping track of time will also help you in overcoming procrastination. A lot of people make the greatest mistake of assuming that they always have a few more minutes to relax and to do unproductive work. It is best to keep track of time so that you will know if you need to speed up a little on what you are doing or to catch up on other important tasks lined up for the day. If you have a work schedule lined up for you everyday, making sure that you are right on time for every activity will also help avoid procrastination. As much as possible, have a wristwatch or a means of checking the time so as to serve as your guide in pursuing other pending transactions for the day.

Real Genius - IQ or Creativity? By Steve Gillman

Steve Gillman

What is real genius, and how do we cultivate it in ourselves? A common dictionary definition is, 'Extraordinary intellectual power especially as manifested in creative activity.' Some definitions refer to a high IQ as well, but that doesn't seem to be an important component. Both intellectual power and creativity can certainly exist without a high level of intelligence, as I will explain.

Real genius, then, whether in the sciences, arts, or business, is about finding new, creative and effective ways to do things. How high a man or woman scores on some test of intelligence is not so relevant. How productive he or she is in producing new ideas is the most defining factor.

Genius Is In The Software

If we look at the brain and mind as a computer, we can see that the physical part, made up of neurons and such, is the hardware. This is the computer before we install the operating system and various programs. If it is potentially more powerful, that's great. But it isn't enough. In order to realize that power, to use it, we need the programs. What would the computer on your desk be worth without any software? The same is true of our brains.

The software, then, consists of our ways of thinking. These are developed starting in childhood, but they are not static. We can continue to add new 'programs' throughout life, and the right ones can dramatically increase one's creativity. This is why a less intelligent man can be a genius at something, while a man with a much higher IQ may add little in the way of new ideas, thinking or products to the world. It is all about the software.

What about these 'programs?' What are they, where do you get them and how do you install them? The bad news is that they do not install as easily as programs do on your desktop computer. You have to work with them for at least several weeks to make these new ways of thinking habitual. The good news is that once they do become a habit, they work for you almost effortlessly.

A 'program' might be as simple as 'the exploration of creative alternatives by looking at purposes.' This is something anyone can do, but few do it systematically or habitually. Work with this enough consciously, though, and it becomes a regular part of your thinking. You look at a textbook from a school, for example, and your mind asks 'What are the purposes, and what does that suggest for alternatives?'

You see that a textbook is supposed to impart knowledge to the student. The questions that naturally arise include, 'Does it do that well?' and 'What else might suit this purpose?' The question of effectiveness makes you wonder what you would find if ten different textbooks on the same subject matter were used to teach students, and then we tested the students to see which group learned more. That leads you to the idea for a textbook testing service (currently, textbooks are often chosen according to the preferences educators, rather than by effectiveness). The 'what else' part could get you thinking about making educational material into video games.

Other creative ideas will start to come to mind as you look at the matter, at least if that is the way your brain is programmed to work. And the 'program' above is just one example of many techniques for creative thinking which you can 'install' in yourself. A higher IQ could be helpful, and raising yours may be possible, but that is not nearly as important to developing real genius as changing the ways in which you think.

Causes of Procrastination - How to Stop it Today By Kai Ferra

Kai Ferra

Everything that we do in life starts with something small. Although all processes have difficult parts and methods that we need to endure and to take responsibility for, in the end, we would still be the one to benefit from the end results. Out of the many challenges that come our way, procrastination is one of the most common. With just a single decision to procrastinate, a person can cause countless delays for different people and at different times. Although procrastination can cause dramatic results, sadly not everyone can immediately realize when they have already fallen victim to this mentality. In order to help you out, here are a few of the main causes of procrastination that you must watch out for:

1.You don’t enjoy what you do.

People are most effective when doing something they are passionate about. Doing something that you don’t believe in, moreover something that you do not enjoy is simply one of the main causes of procrastination. Due to societal issues surrounding unemployment and finances, people jump into random jobs that will hopefully help them earn money for a living. Unfortunately, since the job title does not have anything to do with what they dream of becoming in life, they tend to slow down and to lose interest in performing well at work. Not being able to enjoy what you do results into slowdowns and unsatisfactory results. Psyching yourself to work harder and in a faster pace is more effective when done with something that you love to do.

2.You’re not good at what you do.

It’s almost an essential procedure in every blue book for you to believe that you are the best in what you do. Telling yourself or actualizing that you are not delivering the best performance in your work will eventually lead you to procrastinate. Belief is one of the strongest determining factors that lead people to work at their full potential and at the most effective way possible. One of the causes of procrastination is the belief that you are not good in what you do. Instead of telling yourself what you cannot do, why don’t you start training yourself to do better in things that you are weak at? Seeing failures as missed opportunities can help drive you to work harder and to prevent procrastination.

3.You’re not supposed to do it.

We all get tired from work. At times, we regrettably have to face the fact that there may be things that we would be asked to do even if we are not the right person to do it. Each person keeps their own body clocks and schedules, which is why unwanted tasks tend to irk us especially when they’re given at the last minute. Overtimes, for instance, is one the main venues for procrastination. You feel restless from too much work and since you’re not supposed to do the task, you eventually decide not to deliver your outputs at the required deadline. We all have to bear in mind that each occupation requires flexibility and a few adjustments once in a while.

Boost Your Brain Power, Boost Your Potential By Gregory Frost

Gregory Frost

You can control your brain and make it a much more efficient and engineered machine for success. What this means is that there is technology available for the average consumer that helps you to boost your brain power and this is based on something on brainwave entrainment technology. The reason this article chooses this technology to discuss, amongst the many available is that is the easiest to use, most readily available and the one that has the most effect.

When talking about brainwave entrainment, it is actually the technology which allows you to actually bend and mould the mind into a state of optimum performance and the truth is, we are always operating on the opposite side of the coin. We are built in such a way that our brain is currently performing at levels way below our possibles, and do not worry, this is something that afflicts not only you, but almost 90 percent of the world today.

There are many reasons for this and while this article will not try to get into all of them, it is the anthropology, the society and the culture of the global economy in a sense that has led to this dampening of the mind. As more and more gets readily available and easier to access, the power of the mind to investigate and discover, to learn and grow and to evolve into its optimum state will then be hardily reduced and we are left with something that isn’t performing at its full capacity. Back to the topic of brainwave entrainment, the technology is actually based on a sort of reversed engineered logic to the internal mechanism of the brain.

What this means is that the brain already has the potential and actually the running methodology to be much better than what it is and if you consider that, the brain does operate at levels of maximum potential. But this is sporadic and sometimes you will not be able to gain the right ability at the right time. What you need to do is to be able to mould the brain into a state where the accompanying benefits are for the situation that you need.

For example, if you are going to take a test, but you know that your brain is only optimally retaining and learning at the time just before and just after sleep, then it really does not help. But with brainwave entrainment, you are able to just activate this power by forcing the neurons in the cortical of the brain to emit the save wavelength patterns that then tricks the brain into producing those very results. The science is very interesting and the application is actually very easy. The technology comes in the form of a CD, and all you need to do is to plug it in to your ears, find a quiet corner and listen to the CD for about 20 mins at a time. After that, the therapy will definitely boost your potential with a better brain.

Becoming Comfortable With Your Sexuality By Steven A Johnson

Steven A Johnson

Female sexuality includes a broad range of behaviors and processes; these include sexual identity and sexual behavior, physiological, social, cultural, political, spiritual, and aspects of sex. The various aspects of female sexuality have been addressed by ethics, morality, and theology. In almost every historical era and culture a good portion of it is society’s views on sexuality, mostly implicitly or explicitly female sexuality.

Sexuality is a part of every woman’s life. All of our bodies have the potential to feel physical excitement and pleasure. Some women may choose to never be sexually active, but most women prefer to explore their sexual desires in one way or another. Having the freedom to choose how to express yourself sexually is an important part of every woman’s sexual health.

Sexual health also means understanding your body and how it works. Females who understand their bodies can make better choices about the sexual activities that they enjoy. Woman can also choose to become pregnant or they can choose to avoid it. Being educated about sexually transmitted diseases can help a female protect themselves and their partners from disease.

Sexual health also involves being comfortable with yourself and your sexual desires. It means having healthy relationships with others. Sexual health can also mean learning to identify and leave violent or abusive (physically or verbally) and learning to cope with the after effects of such relationships.

Sexual health is also about knowing and understanding sexual disorders as well. Sexual disorders are conditions that prevent people from having rich and fulfilling sexual relationships. These disorders involve problems related to things like sexual functioning, desire and or performance.

There are 3 main categories of sexual disorders; they are sexual dysfunctions, paraphilias, and gender identity disorders. Sexual dysfunctions are persistent or recurrent problems that occur during sexual response. Paraphilias involves behavior that most people find distasteful, unusual, or abnormal. It has a lot to do with psychological functioning. Gender identity disorders involve feelings of strong identification with the opposite sex.

Emotional, psychological, and physical factors can all contribute to the development of sexual disorders. Symptoms of some sexual disorders include lack of interest in or desire for sex, difficulty becoming aroused and pain during intercourse.

Treatment options vary depending on the nature of the suspected sexual disorder. In some cases, a physical problem can be treated with medical procedures. Medications and therapies can also be beneficial for some people. Alternative Health Supplements offers many different products for the sexual health of woman. All natural herbal supplements can be a safe alternative to other medications that may have severe side effects.

Often some sexual disorders can be prevented from happening in the first place. Parents who have communicated openly with children about sexuality and health concerns related prevents the children from developing anxiety and guilt that may lead to sexual disorders.

Open communication between sexual partners is very helpful in preventing disorders as well. Any woman who has experienced an abusive relationship is likely to develop a disorder and trauma if counseling and help is not received. Getting help for after such an issue can greatly prevent any sexual disorder from occurring.

Using Self-Regulation and Private Speech For Self-Improvement By Michelle Green

Michelle Green

There are several studies that have dealt with the use of private speech in adults and its application to learning. These studies have used private speech to assist adults in improving their performance in several tasks. The term private speech is seldom used in reference to adults however and the term that is often preferred in self-talk or voice dialog. To understand this mechanism we must review the processes of using the simple elements.

This process is the utilization of simple statements that can be used to control behavior and this may be through the guidance or even management of emotions of the individual. It has been seen that the use of this action as a form of therapy has been seen to positively affect performance. When people talk when they are doing a task there performance is enhanced. The words spoken can often be classified into some standard categories related to the type of thoughts that are verbalized.

There are five main types of verbalizations that are observed in adults and that are believed to aid in the increase of performance. These include the use of repetition, answering your own questions, read to yourself, describing the activity and guiding yourself along and inaudible utterances. These vocalizations will be the ones that are most found in adult private speech. There are other types of vocalizations but those are found more in children rather than adults.

You may use self-talk to benefit you in a variety of tasks and this also includes dealing with stress. The approach that is followed with self-talk can greatly aid in the alleviation of stress. This can provide a different approach to dealing with stress. Stress is dealt with in a more logical fashion rather than the typical emotional approach. You are able to focus your energy and deal with the root cause of the problem through logical thinking.

Problems of low self-esteem can also be handled by the use of self-talk. You can learn about yourself and learn to like yourself as well. Self-talk can increase self-awareness. It can improve our outlook of ourselves and direct us to more positive action. Self-talk is one of the major ways that we can overcome nervousness and anxiety in stressful situations and remain grounded and logical.

Self-talk can also work in improving the ways that we interact with others. It is often important that we are calm when we attempt to socialize. If we are unable to relax we will not attract bonding but in fact discourage it. This means that self-talk is an essential part of the equation towards the improvement of our social interactions as well. It is essential in life to be able to get along with people. If we are unable to accomplish this we will not be able to progress in life. We will not function at full capacity on the job or even in our personal interactions. It is essential that we learn to interact with others properly. All these reasons make self-talk a great tool.

The ability of self-talk to adjust our way of thinking and provide us with a more logical approach to life is invaluable. We are able to perform better using self talk as a motivational tool as well as a learning tool. It is essential in our self-development that if we have never used self-talk or private speech that we do so today and start the road to a better way of thinking. You can visit the Internet to learn more about your gift, self-talk. The latest discussions are hitting this topic heavily today.

Success - A Journey or the Destination? By Daniel Britton

Daniel Britton

Success, would you know it if you found it? It is notoriously difficult to measure success since the yardstick of success is nebulous and ever changing. Is success a destination or the journey? “On my way to success, I lost my happiness. How I wish I had smelt the roses! ”, laments an anonymous writer. But tread we must the lonely road to success. Sir Winston Churchill, former British Prime Minister once said that “Success is going from failure to failure without a loss of enthusiasm”. As one of the great leaders of the last century he should know. This theme has been repeated often in our poetry, literature and plays. Who can forget the poignant story written by Robert Bruce and the famous quote, “Try, try and try again, until you succeed.”

Learned men have always said that success is something that cannot be measured and differs from person to person. Jim Rohn, America’s leading Business Philosopher describes success as “nothing more than a few simple disciplines, practiced every day”.

All of us want to succeed in our own unique way and we strive for it. But what is success is unknown to many of us. Are fame, name and money success? Can you term material gains as success in an individual’s life? The answer is a big NO. Motivational and Personal Development experts feel that happiness is the answer to success. In this material driven world if a person can stay happy through his highs and lows then it can be called success.

The poet David Frost said that ‘don’t aim for success if you want it; just do what you love and believe in, and it will come naturally’. How true. If you are passionate about what you do, you are sure to excel in that field, leading to success in your career. Professional success leads not only to happiness but also to innovate in your chosen field. If every individual can identify their core strength and work on it then success is sure to be achieved leading to happiness and satisfaction. Whether you are an artist or a writer or a doctor or a software programmer, being ardent and fervent about your work will show in what you do, leading to fame and name. Many achievers have said that once you achieve success you feel empty inside. But I beg to differ. If you are committed to your work with passion and zeal you won’t feel lonely. Professional success is like an aphrodisiac. You will want to achieve it again and again. British author Michael Korda says that ‘Your chances of success are directly proportional to the degree of pleasure you derive from what you do. If you are in a job you hate, face the fact squarely and get out’.

We must attract success not chase it.

Many times, it is seen that a person with tremendous leadership traits, fails when he sets up his own shop. Qualities like hard work, tenacity and perseverance which seemed an asset somehow turn into a liability. This is due to the fact that they fail to take any responsibility. Don’t play blame games in case of failure. As an entrepreneur, you have to accept that the buck stops with you, each and every time. Taking responsibility is a major act of a true leader. All these attributes in a leader helps him in attaining success.

Former President Abraham Lincoln, failed to gain office many times before he finally became the President. His purpose and goals were clear in his mind and he did not give up. He said “try and try until you succeed” and that’s exactly what he did. Success and failure are like two sides of a coin. Sometimes it is heads and other times tails. If you can accept both with positive attitude, you are sure to succeed. The purpose of experiencing failure is to appreciate success when it comes to you.

‘I think we worry about failure too much. I don’t think that failure very often can hurt anybody. Its fear of failure that will absolutely destroy you’ says the learned Jack Lemmon. Just as the story of a spider inspired Robert Bruce to try and win his battle, it’s only your guts, determination and motivation that help you to achieve success in life.
Even in personal life success depends on a positive attitude, motivation to stay in a relationship as well as being sincere and dedicated to your loved ones which lead to success in the relationship. Very often we confuse issues and get side tracked leading to despair and heart ache. It is always wise to look at your cup half full. Achievement and motivation are like Siamese twins. One doesn’t exist without the other. When these two go hand in hand success is certain. This is true not only to professional life but to personal life as well.

‘The men who try to do something and fail are infinitely better than those who try to do nothing and succeed’ Lloyd Jones

Instead of just lamenting that you are not lucky enough to get success it is better to catch the bull by its horns. Take charge of your life and set about by starting with a positive thought. A single positive thought can lead to many big achievements in life. Consider for a moment the Law of Attraction; Rhonda Byrne in her book ‘The Secret’ says that, thoughts are powerful and transform themselves into things. We are like communication towers transmitting at different frequencies. When we transmit powerful positive signals which reach out to the universe, it brings forth beautiful and fruitful results in the form of success. If you transmit sad and negative thoughts you only get what you have transmitted. The ‘Secret’ was said to have been inspired by the classic text ‘The Science of Getting Rich’ which was written almost a century ago. This book lays out a blueprint for financial success and a free copy is available from The SuccessBlog at www.ursuccess.net

This is the difference between success and failure. Be clear in your mind what you are asking for. Remember there is no limit, no constraint to thinking big.

Success is often the result of taking a misstep in the right direction- says Al Bernstein.

In conclusion remember that real success is achieved when there is undisturbed peace of mind and my favourite quotation on the subject by George Woodberry,

“Defeat is not the worst of failures. Not to have tried is the true failure”.

Struggle - Press Delete By Mary Kay Buttery

Mary Kay Buttery

I recently had the opportunity to accept an assignment in Southern California. I instantly fell in love with the area because of the glorious weather. And as I experience more of this local I find there is much to appreciate!

As little as six months ago I probably would have not been open to this offer. But we live in a ever changing universe. I have to laugh as I am again living an experience beyond my wildest dreams! But that my friends is my life. My most recent personal window(s) of opportunity adventure is the essence of this feature article.

After the conclusion my last temporary contact assignment I started investigating new opportunities. The calls from recruiters were slim to nothing. And the few I got were offering assignments in locations I had experienced or knew were not a good fit.

I sensed I would consider a permanent employment agreement when that perfect location presented itself. Well now seemed to be an excellent time to be proactive! So I thought of a few places I would really like to live and started searching for full time permanent positions in those areas. I love to 'google' topics on the internet. And through this technique I found an opportunity in a favored location, San Diego. Long story short, I jumped through the necessary hoops and was offered a long term contact assignment.

I now had to find comfortable lodging, at least temporarily. I can be an impulse buyer, so I set up a monetary range of what I desired to allocate for this expenditure. And I also remembered my worldly possessions have been narrowed down to that which can fit in my car (the past three years I have junketed from place to place doing short term contract appointments ).

An ingredient of mine for a more happy joyful life is meeting interesting people. So I decided to investigate roommate situations. It was as if I swirled a magic wand, as soon after I found a great opportunity to live in a four bedroom house that offers a comfortable homey living environment. I occupy a private (furnished) bedroom and have house privileges. And utilities, cable TV, high speed wireless internet, linens, towels, weekly cleaning and groceries are included in the rent! Right now there are also two twenty something individuals from Germany, a male and female, living in the house along with me. One is an avid surfer, and the other is a soon to be lawyer here to learn about our judicial system. We each have our own schedules. But we tend to meet up and chat for a bit, usually while preparing food in the kitchen .

I have been on the job a few weeks and am in the process of departmental training. The facility is federal and a military medical center, so a lot of policies, protocols, verbiage, etc. are a new experience for me. Yet everywhere I go I find a smile is one thing everyone recognizes, appreciates and responds to!

Since I started my assignment I discovered that the department is installing a highly complex instrumentation system. It is a 'hot off the press' concept in laboratory instrumentation. Everyone involved will be at beginner status when training begins! Staff members will learn a lot more about Information Technology. And, if it runs according to plan it will mean fewer staff will be required. Change is a component one can always rely to make an appearance, again and again!

If downsizing occurs I will be one of the first to be considered for a pink slip, as I am a contract employee at this facility. But I am there now and I get to experience implementation of a state of the art system (and add the experience to my resume). As luck would have it, I am on a month to month agreement at my present living situation. And I know everything that is an ideal match for me will come my way - easily and perfectly!

I no longer live in a Catch 22 world. I have deleted struggle from my living experience. Life invigorates me. So you can appreciate and understand why I comfortably and confidently say - 'Bring It On'!

Hypnosis Could Help Restore a Low Self Esteem By Amy Twain

Amy Twain

Self esteem is the person’s estimation of themselves and this could also be based on the way they observe others. A feeling of low self esteem could create phobias and annoying problems for people from all walks of life and could even cause them to behave or act in an unacceptable manner. Hypnosis and self esteem have had a long history of related links with one another. Through hypnosis and even with the new and improved use of hypnosis, we could find out the reason and understand what causes the person to have low esteem. There are so many effects esteem could create on people in different ways that it is difficult to pinpoint if a person’s confidence is really the main problem to be considered.

Building an increased self esteem could be a tough and strenuous task for anybody and most especially for a person with low self esteem because they feel that they don’t have the capacity nor they have what it takes to improve themselves. They may also feel they are not worthy of being taken care of. The use of hypnosis and self confidence could be a decision of the therapist to commit. Or it could be that the person with esteem issues could find no other alternative than to let hypnosis ‘remedy’ them. However, this isn’t as smooth sailing and simple as it may sounds.

Hypnosis and self confidence could be so intimately linked that it could actually take a long time to accomplish any outcome especially if the person is resisting hypnosis or is presently facing a lot of issues in his life that needs to deal with before hypnosis could help develop consciousness and particularly, their self esteem. The Process of Self Esteem and Hypnosis Therapy. In an ideal world, a greater self confidence will be easily attained by any person without help from outside forces but this is not the case. That is the main reason why seeking the help of a professional therapist who uses hypnosis as a mode of therapy could be the answer.

The therapist may encourage the patient to acknowledge or recognize their accomplishments, skills and self worth as a way to lead them on track to creating and increasing esteem. First and foremost, the therapist should make sure that the patient is completely comfortable and has to take each step extremely slowly. Some individuals could have a few concealed memories from their past that could cause critical problem if they are accessed too quickly. Confidence truly takes a lot of time to build and through hypnosis, it could encourage the process by enabling the patient to feel secure and comfortable enough to recognize that indeed, they are worth all the attention and appreciation just like anybody else.

When trust has been established between therapist and patient, the former may now start a process of inducing the patient into a relaxed and steady state where the mind begins to be more open and susceptible to suggestion and change—for a better and improved person.

Are There Lucky People? By Steve Gillman

Steve Gillman

Most of us know lucky people, those who seem to lived a charmed life. They may not even be all that smart, and yet they seem to almost stumble into good situations. Opportunities open up for them, things are 'handed' to them. Perhaps they win in the stock market, find a dream job, or get married to their ideal spouse.

Then there are the unlucky people. Maybe you know a few of these as well. Some of them may even be very intelligent or well educated, and yet they're unlucky in love, lose money on investments, miss opportunities, and have unexpected bad things happen.

You might be somewhere between these two extremes. You have some good luck, and you have your share of 'bad luck' as well. But have you ever tried to learn how to be one of the lucky people?

Generally there are two approaches to the idea of luck. Some think it is a random or mysterious thing that we have no control over, while others say it doesn't exist, that what we call luck is hard work, or a lazy way to explain cause and effect. Yet we all see that some people have easier successes, whether we call it luck or not. What both approaches tend to miss is the obvious question: How can you become one of these 'lucky people?'

The answer to that starts with avoiding that mistake right there. Stop arguing about definitions. It's more profitable to make good things happen. Does it really matter if you earn the title of 'lucky' even though you feel that 'luck' had nothing to do with it? The bottom line is that good results are good results, whatever they are called.

One Thing Lucky People Do Differently

There are many things that lucky people do differently, and there is even serious research that demonstrates this. It has been shown that people who are identified as lucky smile more often, for example. And among those who are superstitious (entirely unnecessary for luck), the research shows lucky people have more positive beliefs, like crossing the fingers, while those who avoid black cats and fear the number thirteen have less luck.

Of all the many things that lucky people do differently, though, perhaps one of the most effective is simply asking for things. How many of us don't ever ask for a nicer table in a restaurant, or ask for a raise at work. Doing so doesn't guarantee anything, but asking certainly increases the odds of receiving. It's safe to say that you'll get more raises and nice tables in life if you ask.

For example, in his book, 'Screw It - Let's Do It,' Richard Branson tells the story of how he bought a $3,000,000 pound island for $180,000. That's just 7% of the asking price, by the way. Here's the short version of how he did it: He asked. I imagine there were those who would have loved to get the island for twice what he paid, since that would still be an 86% discount. But they probably never made the offer, embarrassed to ask for such a low price.

As a young man I bought my first house by advertising. I put a small ad in the paper saying I was looking for a small home with a small down payment and seller financing. I got a call and soon bought my first home. Ask and you shall receive, as the saying goes.

So are there lucky people? Yes, and if you want to be one of them, consider the following three premises:

1. 'Lucky' people are those who have more happy surprises and good situations in their lives.

2. Their good luck is a result of the way they think and act.

3. You can become one of them by learning and applying certain principles (like the one above.)

What Everybody Should Know About Setting Goals By Andrew Rondeau

Andrew Rondeau

Probably the hardest part of setting goals is the first step of actually deciding to take action! The main hurdle that most people face is the incorrect assumption that goals are only for business or sales-minded people. The reality is everyone subconsciously sets goals throughout their day. There are always occasions where something has to be done at a particular time or place. Simple examples could be getting up at a certain time in order to be at work, or to meet with a friend for a leisure activity.

After years of sales meetings, one small statement made me realise that this process is as natural as breathing. The beauty of having goals is the uniqueness of each one to the person setting the goal. They are very specific to them and their circumstances whether in the area of business, financial, personal or spiritual.

The most important part initially, is to write them down. Having the goals written down gives incredible power and focus to your efforts.

Aim for something that will stretch you whilst remaining achievable. If the goal is achieved too easily it is not high enough to make any significant change in your life and needs to be adjusted. On the other hand, if you consistently miss the goal, re-evaluate and consider setting it a little lower as you will probably get discouraged and give up. The aim is to keep growing, and moving into a more satisfactory position for your circumstances.

The goal should be as specific as possible with a benefit of attaining it. Another good idea is to also have the result of not reaching the goal. This will strengthen your resolve to take the necessary action.

As you obtain the levels that you have set for yourself always include a small reward at each point. This will only need to be a small treat in the beginning, such as a meal out or a weekend vacation.

Remember that these changes will not take place overnight and there will be a period of time when nothing seems to be happening. This is why the goals need to be detailed and as specific as possible with a consequence and a benefit.

Allow some time on a daily basis to educate yourself on how to make the necessary adjustments in your life. This could include listening to a cd or reading a book on motivation etc. There is an enormous amount of resources available to anyone looking for help in this area.

A simple method to start with could be one goal in the main areas of life to be achieved in one month, six months, one year and five years. Break that down further into a daily, weekly and monthly plan.

The main areas could include: Career, Finance, Personal Growth, Health, Family, Relationships, Social Life, Home.

To summarise. Have goals across your main areas of life. Write them down, be specific, allow time. Review and adjust on a regular basis. Stay focussed and disciplined to achieve all you desire.

What Are the 5 1/2 Things You Need in a Survival Kit? By C West

C West

When you are putting together your survival kit for home or office, there are items that you need to have to be minimally prepared. These are:

1. Food and Water

Lets face facts. The body can last only 3 days without water and several weeks without food. But when dehydration kicks in, you make mistakes due to confusion. Having plenty of clean water is crucial. A case of bottled water will do. Add some high energy bars for 3 days worth of eating, you can keep the mind fueled right and hopefully not making mistakes due to hunger/thirst.

2. A Multi-tool (Leatherman/Gerber/etc.)

A multi-tool is crucial since you never know what situation you will come across where a pair of pliers or a knife is needed. When you are tired and the food bars wrappers are hard to open, guess what - a multi tool comes in handy. Plus you never know when a screwdriver or other attachment is needed!

3. A Space Blanket.

At night, keeping warm is important. A space blanket is light weight and waterproof. Wrapping yourself in the blanket at night will ward off hypothermia which is dangerous in cold climates. If you have a couple of them, you can use one as a cover and a second as a blanket.

4. An LED flashlight:

Traveling at night if hazardous without a light. Tripping over stuff can be hazardous to you! Be sure to have additional batteries as well. If you want to have a multi purpose light, get a combo light and radio (make sure it can get NOAA weather stations!) Make sure that you get one that uses LED for the bulbs since they last way longer than a standard bulb and are more durable!

5. A First Aide Kit

Having a proper first aide kit with supplies can be a life saver. Make sure it is properly stocked with supplies which are not EXPIRED. The best way to ensure the kit is up to date is to have an annual kit check date where you dump the old/expired stuff and replace it. If you plan to do this on new years day, you will always have your ducks in a row!

5 1/2. An Inventory List

Having a method to check what should be in the kit and when it was last replaced is all too important. What good are expired supplies or spoiled food in your kit at a time of disaster? The easiest way to store your list is to type it up and place it in a zip lock style badge. Make sure you have a date written on the list as well for a quick view for the last time you checked your kit.

Make sure you keep these items in a soft briefcase, backpack or other other case with a strap which you can sling over your shoulder. Be sure you also keep a set of comfortable shoes in your office as well in case you have to get the Heck otta Dodge!

The Highs and Lows of Manic Depression By Dr. Rose Windale

Dr. Rose Windale

The moods of a manic depressive person are like that of a pendulum swinging from one extreme to the other. As the term itself implies, manic depression is a psychological disorder wherein a person has bouts of mania and depression. Manic depression is associated with extreme mood swings and sudden behavioral changes. In one instance, a person may be extremely buoyant and talkative, has rapid flight of ideas and heightened energy that may lead to decreased amounts of sleep. This manic phase of manic depression can last for hours, days, weeks or months, and it is a racing, giddy state of elevated mood.

This hypomanic episode can present itself as a strange behavior, as although it can pass for sociability, the hypomanic person can sometimes exhibit aggressive behavior. A person usually has a turgid and aggrandized self image when in the hypomanic state. When deeply traced, though, the person usually has fragile self-esteem Another phase of manic depression, also called bipolar disorder is the major depressive episode. This phase basically has a greater drawback as a person’s enthusiasm for life takes a back seat. In the major depressive episode, a person deviates himself from his peers and his family and his normal activities are put to a halt.

This might also strike as an unusual behavior as the depressive person isolates himself from his external environment. In the depressive episode of manic depression, a person’s self-confidence is not only lacking, but is at an all time low at that. Whereas the hypomanic phase make a person “sociable” to some extent, the major depressive episode can be devastating and debilitating. Another episode of manic depression is the mixed episode, and as the term implies, it is a combination of both mania and depression. Manic depression is categorized as Bipolar I disorder and Bipolar II disorder. Bipolar I is categorically the hypomanic phase and this heightened mood can last from hours, days, weeks or months.

Bipolar II disorder is the depressive episode with at least one hypomanic episode. Bipolar II disorder is more incapacitating as this category of manic depression gravely hampers a person’s social life and elicits erratic mood changes. Anybody can potentially suffer from manic depression as it is not exclusive to any specific age bracket. Manic depression episodes initially occur during late adolescence or early adulthood but there are cases wherein children and the elderly have bouts of manic depression. Neither is bipolar disorder confined to a particular gender, race or class although manifestations between men and women are generally different. With proper consultation, medication and therapy, manic depression can be treated.

Once diagnosed, the medications can regulate the mood swings and the accompanying psychotherapy can trace and unravel the psychological causes of the manic depressive bouts. As psychiatry also trace mental disorders to a chemical imbalance in the brain, certain antipsychotic drugs are generally prescribed to normalize the imbalance and neutralize the extreme mood swings. Psychotherapy on the other hand allows the patient to express and relieve his anxieties. Regular therapy is the flushing out of psychic garbage until eventually the patient comes to terms with himself. Manic depression must never be left untreated as it can result to personality deterioration and eventually dysfunctionality.

Family and peer support are also essential for a person to overcome manic depression. Psychological disturbances can be curable. Advances in psychiatry as well as community education and awareness have made it possible for those with mental disorders to live a full and happy life.

3 Great Reasons For Setting Goals By Daniel Britton

Daniel Britton

Goal setting is not new. Many business and motivational experts such as Jim Rohn or Brian Tracy have been extolling their virtues for many years. Napoleon Hill in the classic Think and Grow Rich writes:
“Whatever the mind of man can conceive and believe he can achieve”.

But how exactly can the process of setting goals bring about tangible results?

For many, the goal of running a marathon is all about crossing the finish line. Consider this, that the larger achievement is the ability to get to the start line. The race itself may last 3, 4 or 5 hours depending on your ability, but the preparation will have been many weeks and months of effort, dedication and motivation. In other words the person you will have to become to be in the condition to start the race is the more significant part of achieving the goal.

Listen to an athlete, a best-selling author, a successful professional, or entrepreneur - they will all talk about dreams and goals! The visualisation of their achievements and success is in their minds way before they appear in reality. These are goals that have created passion in their lives, that move them into daily, monthly and yearly action, and that bring emotion because of the clear sacrifices that have been made preceding long aspired victories. Goals can create miracles and accomplishment by providing the inspiration to take action.

The Reticular activating System (RAS)
The reticular activating system is part of the brain that asks like a filter between the conscious and subconscious mind. It takes instructions from the conscious mind and passes them on to the subconscious. For example, the instruction might be, 'listen out for anyone saying my name'.

At any one time, we are receiving around 100,000 times more information than we are capable of processing. Most of the incoming stimulus is irrelevant to us so the RAS filters let in only what we need.

For example imagine that you are at a party and you are in deep conversation with someone on one side of the room. There is a lot of information that your mind could be processing, all the sights, sounds, smells, conversations etc but the conscious mind can only handle a small part of the information. Suddenly your attention is drawn to another conversation across the room because someone mentioned your name.

Another good example is when you have bought or are considering buying a new car. Suddenly that exact make and model are everywhere. It appears highly unlikely that there are suddenly more of those cars around, it’s just that you now begin to notice them.

So in what ways can the RAS influence goal achievement? First, you can deliberately program the reticular activating system by choosing the exact messages you send from your conscious mind. For example, by setting goals, saying affirmations, or visualising your goals.

Secondly, your RAS cannot distinguish between 'real events' and imagined one. In other words it tends to believe whatever message you give it. Once we ae aware of this we can use it to our advantage. Imagine that you're going to attend an interview. You can rehearse the event by visualising it in your mind. This 'pretend' practice should improve your confidence and performance at the interview.

What we need to do is to create a very specific picture of our goal in our conscious mind. The RAS will then pass this on to our subconscious - which will then help us achieve the goal. It does this by bringing to our attention all the relevant information which otherwise might have remained as 'background noise'. We then notice new opportunities and ways in which we can make our goals a reality.

A third reason why goal setting works is that the process of defining your goals brings you into alignment with your true desires and values. If for example, a person sets a goal to be a millionaire but inwardly has hidden and limiting beliefs about money, then the goal is unlikely to be achieved. It is only when the conscious and subconscious minds are in harmony that a person will identify opportunities and take the inspired action which is necessary for success.

An effective goal setting session should therefore incorporate a period of evaluation and review. In this way the underlying values and motivations can be identified. It is often said that the Why is more important than the How, and this is certainly true of goal setting and goal achievement. Once a clear reason is established as to why the achievement of the goal is so important then the vision of its success is more likely to bring the goal into reality.

In conclusion goal setting is an important method of:

• Deciding what is important for you to achieve in your life;
• Separating what is important from what is irrelevant, or a distraction;
• Motivating yourself; and
• Building your self-confidence, based on successful achievement of goals.

If you don't already set goals, there will never a better time to start than right now. As you make this technique part of your life, you'll find your career accelerating, improve your relationships and bring your dreams into reality. Further resources and a goal setting checklist is available from the SuccessBlog

Time Management,Got a Minute? By Richard Runyon

Richard Runyon

Time management is about getting results, not about being busy. It is an essential skill for personal management. The essence of keeping track of it is to organize and execute around priorities and is the key to keeping everything together. It is really an attitude issue, not a technique issue. By attitude,we are talking about being really focused on and enthusiastic about your goals. It is a skill that takes time to develop and perfect. Managing time is about getting the most production out of the time you have to do what needs to be done.

Time management is probably the number one tool for managing stress at its sources. A moderate level of stress can be an important motivational factor and can be instrumental in achieving a dynamic adaptation to new situations,it is often the very thing that helps us to make necessary changes in our life like leaving a bad relationship or moving onto a better job opportunity. Your time is a daily exercise. It is as much a state of mind as an actual performance skill. By getting into the right frame of mind, your brain is setting itself a goal. Do not procrastinate. Set your mind to it and get it done. It is a core skill of effective management,it affects the way you use or waste other people's valuable time as well as your own.

It can be a difficult task for you while organizing because you do not want to be so inflexible that there is no room for the unexpected, you should not allocate every minute to what it is your doing. You could try to give up all your social contacts, stop sleeping regularly and let all your other obligations drop to complete what you want, this is hardly a recipe for success in life. It is about not destroying your life in the process.

Time management is an essential skill for successful study. When you are a student, conflicting responsibilities pile up quickly. You have multiple classes, work, campus activities, social obligations and so forth. Managing your time is the name of the game when it comes to enrolling in an online associate degree program. Other experts believe that effective time management is the most important factor in whether or not you will succeed at online education or not.
It is a matter of choice how we use the time we have.

All of us have the same amount of time which is only 24 hours a day. Managing time is basically a series of decisions. You must decide what is most important and then you must decide how to do it. It is much more than just an appointment book,a to-do list or calendar. Time is one of the resources which is not renewable and which availability cannot be increased. Personal, professional, social, family and financial goals are all important and all require time in which to achieve them. Most of us want to work toward more than one goal. When you get organized and plan ahead, stop, clarify your priorities and delegate effectively you are much less likely to be overwhelmed by the coming deadline stress.

Time Management is not doing the wrong things quicker. That just gets you nowhere faster and you do not have a magical wand that can be used to wave your harmful stuff away. Be patient with yourself, successful sports people, musicians, businessmen and women are all masters at time management. They know when to allocate which tasks and how much time is assigned to each task. Listen to what other people suggest and remember to reward yourself from time to time, because you are worth it! Life Is! :)

The Most Important Things to Know About Smoking By Steven L Jones

Steven L Jones

Many, many people smoke. That's kind of a stupid statement, but bear with me here. While many people smoke, very few understand the underlying causes of why, in addition to smoking, they find it so hard to quit.

If you don't want to quit, here's where you should go read something else. If you do want to quit, however, you've probably realized that it's not exactly the easiest thing to do. More than that, nobody seems to be able to offer you any actually credible ways to go about it. Instead, you get a bunch of ideas that sound great in theory but are obviously ridiculously hard and won't ever actually get put into action.

Why is that? Because far too many people believe that they can treat the symptoms of nicotine addiction with patches and pills without dealing with its root causes. The causes are why you smoke, and they're entirely in your mind.

If you've ever tried quitting before, you remember that great feeling you had when you told yourself that you weren't going to smoke any more. You probably felt great for a day or two before the cravings started kicking in, and then the whole quitting thing didn't sound all too great any more.

In order to properly quit smoking, you need to understand that your subconscious controls your desires to smoke. It's what causes your mental state to change from the happy cigarette free you to the depressed smoker who can't break free from their habits.

When you want to smoke, it isn't because your body is telling you that it's running low on nicotine. Your body is quite happy, in fact, to be rid of nicotine. Your mind, on the other hand, has associated cigarettes with pleasure so deeply that it believes that you will somehow feel better by having a cigarette.

Granted, that's not actually the case. When you're feeling down, having a cigarette doesn't bring you up. Smoking a cigarette when you're happy doesn't make you feel happier. You're just convinced that is the case, and understanding that is the first step to freeing your mind from its addiction. When I say understanding, I don't mean that you need to stop relying on those triggers, just that you need to know that they are present.

When people quit smoking cold turkey (and there are those who have successfully done it) you've slowly and painfully broken those ties and realized that cigarettes won't make you feel better. Instead of spending weeks being a pain in the butt and wishing you could smoke a cigarette, there's a better way of going about it. Wouldn't it be nice to be able to, over the course of a few mere hours, break away from your mental prison and be able to go about life without constantly thinking about having a cigarette?

You're far too smart to need to waste your time thinking about smoking. You need a way to just stop the whole thing in its tracks so you can move on, once and for all!

Growing Up Does Not Mean Giving Up By Ronnie Nijmeh

Ronnie Nijmeh

Remember your first kiss? How wonderful it was? Even though you had butterflies in your stomach, and your heart raced a mile a minute, it was such a memorable experience. What about that first thrilling ride on a roller-coaster or blowing out all of the candles on your fiftieth birthday cake? Those moments just takes your breath away, and they warm your heart and rekindle your spirit.

These cherished moments are the fuel for our fire. They are the soothers for our souls and the band-aids for our emotional wounds. Without these unique, extraordinary experiences, we would not be who we are today. And, we would not be where we are today. Each of these fond remembrances is like a distinct fingerprint in our minds. They are special - no two are alike, and they identify specific momentous times. We merely need to close our eyes and tap into our memory banks to be reminded of the wondrous impact these memories have on our existence.

More often than not, we need these reminders of our past to help us see our future. Each and every act in our lives happens for a reason, and they all lead us to something greater. We just need to learn to read our life’s map.

To help us understand and master the ability to read our map, we should incorporate faith, positive energy, happiness, confidence, peace and motivation into our normal routine. These attributes shape our thinking and behavior. They are the drivers for our journey in life. They help to keep us whole, grounded, and on our way to bigger and better things. Without them, we can become hollow, confused, and lost.

And as with everything else in our life, we must engage and interact with our drivers to see profound results in our careers, relationships, and personal development. We need to feed the drivers and make certain that they don’t ever fade. And our memories are a wonderful source of nourishment for them.

Yet, another way to cater to our drivers is through inspiration - a consistent well of stimulation and encouragement. And an inventive, good source of incitement can be found on motivational desktops. These free motivational wallpapers represent each driver in stunning forms. The inspirational quotes provide a sort of legend, or key, to help us decipher our maps. The combination of art and words show an individual where they are, where they’ve been, and where they have still to go.

By maintaining reminders of the people we love, the accomplishments we’ve achieved, and the goals we are ascertaining, in plain view, we are exercising our drivers and launching them to new heights. And these motivational desktops are ideal tools to guide us along the way. They allow us to truly keep what’s important in sight.

If we can hang on to those little motivational treasures, our minds and spirits can take us anywhere. For some of us, our memories may not always be great, but they are ours to own. And from them, we can generate the desired outcomes. As we continue on our voyage through life, we are surely to create more memories and experiences, which we can later add to our glorious life maps. The essential part of growing up is knowing that you don’t necessarily have to give up yourself to obtain the things that you want.

Become a Walking Magnet: Attract Success With the Law of Attraction By Evgheni Svirepov

Evgheni Svirepov

The Law of Attraction is very important and affects all of us everyday of our lives. The idea behind the Law of Attraction is that you draw into your life the things that your thoughts and emotions are focused on whether that be something you want in your life or something negative you don't want.

The Law of No Assertion is an idea associated with the Law of Attraction. This law says that there is no way any outside influences can bring something into our lives if it is not in our thoughts and emotions. This means that God, fate, the stars, your friends, your family and all other influences are unable to change your life in a way we are not focused on already.

You can also look at this through the Law of Alternate Realities which puts a physics sort of spin on the idea. The Law of Alternate Realities says that we are responsible for creating our reality by our thoughts and emotions. The three laws are all related and all are trying to get the same point across. It is just a matter of how you want to look at it.

You need to really understand the idea of attracting things both unwanted and wanted into your life.

All of us experience a variety of emotions and feelings in our lives. We can be very happy or very sad. When you have negative emotions you are sending negative vibrations out and will get things that you do not want in your life. Positive emotions like happy, grateful, appreciative, joyful and elated bring good things into your life while negative ones like sadness, fear, anger and depression bring negative things.

The Universe responds to the vibrations we send out in the positive no matter what so even if you are thinking about something you do not want, if it is your focus the Universe will bring it to you. We all need to learn to focus our thoughts on the positive and that way we can attract the things we truly want into our lives. We need to change our emotions in the following way:

Fear to Hope to Optimism to Confidence to Belief

The farther we get to the positive side of the emotional scale the more we will be able to get the things we want in a timely manner.

It is important to note that how you think about the things you want is as important as what you think about. Everything we focus on has a point of attraction that resonates. Consider your feelings about something important in your life - how you feel is where your are resonating to.

Think about something that is frequently on your mind. Maybe it is money. Maybe your first thought is that you do not have the money you need or want. You see things you want to buy but you then think to yourself how you can not afford them. Or maybe you think about how fun it would be to be able to buy it and how much you would enjoy the item.

If you want to experience the power of the Law of Attraction, download Subliminal Flash program. It imprints positive affirmations into your subconscious mind, so you become a magnet, attracting success, love and abundance. After 4-7 uses of Subliminal Flash you will notice that you become more attractive for the opposite sex, more healthy and much more successful.

You have to take action for the Law of Attraction to work. Think of it like this - consider the idea of the Be-Do-Have philosophy.

Many of us grew up understanding how important it is to take action to get the things you want in life. We learned early on that our actions are what will help us achieve our goals along with a little luck now and then. The Law of Attraction says that luck does not exist and has no effect on what you bring into your life. You need to rely on your actions to some extent but you need more than action to achieve your goals.

The Universe is what sends us good and bad things in our lives based on our thoughts and emotions and it presents opportunities for us if we are open to them. You need to turn that philosophy you grew up with around and live by the idea of Be-Do-Have.

When you are open to the idea that you can BE where you want in life then you will DO what you need to do to HAVE the things in life that you dream of. We'll talk more about the Be-Do-Have idea later on.

Many people with very successful lives have gotten there by believing in and working the Law of Attraction. You can tell when people are living through this law and focusing on the good things in their life. Living according to the Law of Attraction can bring you success and you can see that in people around you. There is a lot of talk and a lot of information about the Law of Attraction and how to apply it in your own life out there, you just need to look for it. The main idea is to focus on the things you want and they will come to you in time.
